My name is Miss Alejandra Gevaert; I have my ECE, ITE and TESL. I founded LA PAZ in 2017 because I wanted to create a unique environment where children can have access to different tools to reach to their fullest potential, to be part of a society as compassionate and creative leaders. I believe that every child is a natural leader and can achieve their goals with a little help. I love helping children to have wonderful and positive experiences and at the same time to offer great quality care and a vast curriculum. I have helped many families throughout my career over 24 years.
I am committed to make the best of your child’s early childhood education a great experience. After learning and understanding how other preschools/Kindergartens work around North America and after a lot of research and planning, I created an enriched and fun curriculum using different methodologies.
I believe in a positive approach to things in linfe because it really makes a big difference.
La Paz Early Learning Center was created for children who want to explore, learn and play. “We are compassionate and creative leaders ™” Our goal is to expand the knowledge of the classroom into our society and the natural environment.
* We will spend quality teaching time with each child.
* Develop close child-teacher bonds of affection, trust and respect.
* Our objective is to build skills that set children up for success in kindergarten and beyond.
Our pre-kindergarten curriculum has a comprensive approach to educating and enriching the whole child. We provide a safe developmentally appropriate, nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth and the love of learning.
The program is based on a combination of different methods in order to enhance the child’s knowledge.
Children will have the opportunity to participate in different activities such as: Fun Family Phonics, Dramatic Play, Library Corner, Creative Arts, Spanish, Manipulatives, Math, Music and Movement, Mini Chefs, Science and the experience to go out on fun Field Trips.
* We cater children 2.5 to 5 years old and summer camps for Kindergarten children.
* We offer full time and part time spaces.
Children at LA PAZ will learn a second language or it might be their third, but we are excited to introduce Spanish to the children. There are many benefits about learning another language: It grows children’s brains, it’s easier to acquire a foreign language as a child, it can increase out of the box thinking and It’s FUN!
We believe that field trips are a fun way of seeing the world out children live in. First hand experiences can provide children with information and the level of understanding that adds elements of realism to their play, it also enriches their overall level of thinking. We want children to be part of our community, socialize and to practice compassion to others.
Pre-writing skills are part of the foundational literacy skills that children need to develop before they begin writing. They include things like, learning how to hold a marker and awareness of print.
It is an exciting and fun activity which stretches the children’s imagination and enriches their creativity. Widens the child’s vocabulary as they begin to learn the names of new food and objects.
Children naturally enjoy observing and discovering new things. Some skills that come with learning science are: team working, patience. perseverance, problem solving, amongst others.
We are very proud to be part of the brightwheel app family. We like to build strong relationships with our families by keeping them in the loop of their everyday children’s activities. You will be able to see their learning milestones, memorable moments, photos, videos, incident reports, food, naps and so much more. You will be informed daily throughout the day.
As any parent knows, weekday mornings can get chaotic, using a daily uniform removes one more thing from the «to do» list of mom’s and dads’s every day routine. School uniforms are a keyway of developing a sense of togethernes amongst children, also using a uniform can be especially helpful by increasing safety when making fieldtrips.
